Videos

Did you know we are studying 21 unique topics also known as ‘valued components’ for the Community Access Road? This includes but is not limited to surface water (lakes and rivers), fish and fish habitat (including Walleye (okaas), Pike (ginozhe) and Lake Sturgeon (nameh)), and vegetation (Red-osier Dogwood (wabiminatik) and Jack Pine (okikatik)). These videos explain how you can be involved, where we need your input, why and how we are studying them, and how Indigenous Knowledge and western science work together.

We appreciate any knowledge and insight you have on the valued components. So far, we have videos on the following topics with more to come:

  1. Furbearers
  2. Surface Water and Fish and Fish Habitat
  3. Vegetation
  4. Air Quality and Greenhouse Gases
  5. Groundwater
  6. Ungulates
